Terms of Service
Last updated 30 August 2026
The agreement between you and TharwaLens. We have tried to write it so you can actually read it — particularly the part about what this product is not.
What TharwaLens is
A tool that reads bank and card statements you choose to upload, sorts your spending, and shows you how much of your income became an asset. It is analysis of information you provide.
This is not financial advice
We are not licensed financial advisers, and nothing here is advice. The verdicts TharwaLens produces — about your savings rate, your runway, your spending — are automated observations generated from data you entered, using general rules of thumb. They take no account of your circumstances, obligations, or plans.
Do not make an investment, borrowing, or tax decision because this app said something. Speak to a licensed professional. We are not regulated by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, the DFSA, or any equivalent body, and we do not hold, manage or move your money.
Accuracy, and why you must check it
Statements are read by an automated system. It can misread a line, miss one, or file something under the wrong category — and it will be more wrong on layouts it has not seen before.
We check that each statement’s arithmetic closes and flag it when it does not, but that is a safety net, not a guarantee. Treat the numbers as a starting point and verify anything that matters against the statement itself. You can correct any transaction, and we will remember your correction.
Your account
You need a working email address, and you are responsible for what happens through your account. Sign-in links are single-use and expire in 15 minutes; anyone with access to your inbox can get into your account, so protect it.
One person, one account. Do not share it. You must be 18 or older.
What you upload
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to process it solely to provide the service — reading it, extracting transactions, and producing your analysis. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not use it for any purpose you have not asked for.
Only upload statements for accounts that are yours, or that you are authorised to handle.
Paying
TharwaLens is free while your net worth is under US$1,000 — the same product, every feature. Above that it is US$10 per month.
Net worth means the assets minus the liabilities you have declared, converted to US dollars using our reference rates. It is calculated from what you tell us; we do not verify it. Deliberately understating your position to avoid payment is a breach of these terms.
Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel any time and you keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial months. If we ever raise the price, existing subscribers keep theirs until they cancel.
Stopping
You can stop whenever you like — cancel in Settings, or ask us to delete your account entirely.
We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law, to attack the service, or to upload other people’s statements without authority. Except where something is seriously wrong, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your data out.
Availability
We do not promise the service will always be up. It runs on a small infrastructure, and it can be down for maintenance or because something broke. Keep your own copies of any statement that matters — do not treat TharwaLens as your only record.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for financial losses arising from decisions you make using it, for inaccuracies in automated categorisation, or for data loss where you have no other copy.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and law
If we change these terms materially, we will email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use TharwaLens afterwards means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
